Importing Etsy Reviews to Shopify Store

Overview​

This guide explains two methods for importing Etsy reviews to your Shopify store.

Method 1: Import via Admin Dashboard​

Step 1: Access Importer Dashboard​

  • Log in to your Shopify admin
  • Navigate to the Trustoo.io Importer app
  • Select "Importer" from the left sidebar menu
  • Find your product in the list or use the search bar

Step 2: Select Etsy as Import Source​

  • Click the "Import reviews" dropdown next to your product
  • Select "Etsy" from the dropdown menu options

A popup window titled "Import Etsy reviews" will appear:

  • Your product name will be displayed at the top
  • Enter the full Etsy product URL in the "Etsy product link" field

Step 4: Configure Import Settings​

  • Select the number of imports
  • Choose content options
  • Check the confirmation box regarding review permissions

Step 5: Complete the Import​

  • Click "Create import task"
  • System will fetch the selected number of reviews from the Etsy product

Method 2: Import via Chrome Extension​

Step 1: Prepare for Import​

  • Ensure Trustoo extension is installed and connected
  • Open the Etsy product page with reviews you want to import

Step 2: Activate the Extension​

  • Click the Trustoo extension icon (in the side bar)

Step 3: Import Process​

  • Extension will automatically scan and extract available reviews
  • A popup window titled "Trustoo.io Product Reviews" will appear

Step 4: Configure Import Settings​

  • Verify your store information at the top
  • Select the target product from the dropdown menu
  • Configure import options:
    • Choose number of reviews to import
    • Select content filtering options
  • Check "Review Import Terms and Conditions"

Step 5: Complete the Import​

  • Click "Create import task" button
  • System begins importing selected reviews
  • Wait for the import process to complete

Best Practices​

  • Verify the authenticity of imported reviews
  • Ensure reviews align with your product
  • Check for any language or content issues
  • Moderate imported reviews if necessary

  • Confirm Trustoo Chrome extension is up to date
  • Check internet connection
  • Verify Shopify and Etsy product matching
  • Contact support if import fails
  • Respect copyright and review ownership
  • Comply with Etsy and Shopify terms of service
  • Obtain necessary permissions for review usage
